Quick Update

Just a quick update, 3 lil baby puppies have gone to their new homes, we are very happy for them (because we know they are going to the best homes possible) and we are really sad at the same time. Our house is not the same anymore, only 2 lil bubs left and I think Daddy Boo knows that his gang of misfits is slowly dminishing.

Mr S really wants to keep his favourite puppy - lil Uno- but thats not possible since he is already sold, we will just have to put up with Pedro :).

Well if anyone is still interested lil Pedro needs a home!

im on holidays!!!

After a lot of drama, tears, head slapping and Homer style "D'OHs!!" I finally made it to Sydney.
As some people may or may not know, Miss Clio's life is full of "blonde moments".
I know I have dark jet black hair, but it doesn't always help me in the common sense intelligence department.

Anyways, to cut the story short, I missed my flight to Sydney for my dear cousins wedding.
YES - I missed the stupid freakin' flight that I have booked since Feb 08 - being the tight ass that I am, I tried to be super smart and super savy by booking 10 months in advance.

On the day I am suppose to fly out, I simply forget to check my itinerary until THE VERY LAST MINUTE (very typical me). Thinking I am due to fly out at 4:00pm, I madly print out my itinerary at 3:00pm and to my HORROR - I was suppose to fly out at 1:00pm!!!

ARGH!!! Did I really miss my flight? Dumb stupid shock over comes me - Called my brother to tell him - I think I have missed my flight - So I call Virgin blue just to confirm - and yup its true, Ms. W was a NO SHOW on the 1:00pm - I really did miss the 1:00 pm flight. There goes my 10 months of booking in advance for cheap tickets.

Called mum, dad, aunts and uncles to tell them I missed the flight and I don't think I will make it to the wedding. Only coz the tickets left are CRAZY EXPENSIVE due to silly holiday seasons.
However after a lot of convincing by mum and uncle - forcing me to buy the tickets for the flight - I made it to Sydney. (I really did not want to buy stupid $800 one way ticket to
Syd on Virgin Blue - Business class my ass - the only business class thing about my ticket was the freakin price!).

So here I am in Sydney, taking photos of the sights and scenes & generally being the corny tourist that I am.

ps: very windy at circular quay that day, hence the hair job.

the one that got away...

For sale : 1 white chanel classic clutch in caviar leather rrp $1500, on sale for $300 on the vogue forums.

ARGHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i cant believe i missed out on this bargain of a life time!!!! this has been the bag/clutch i have been drooling about in the past year or so... and the only thing thats holding me back is the fact that we dont have a chanel boutique here in perth (thank god!!).

I must admit - when i first saw it - i was dead suss, $300 - no way! its gotta be a fake.. it was too good to be true - and you know what they say -so i asked, enquired ... and it turns out its real... and im just too effing slow... sigh sigh sigh... i guess i'll just have to pay retail now - when i get to sydney- if i have enough money to pay full price for it.

we're planning to buy house and it looks like i'll have to tighten the purse strings big time - URGHHHH - budgeting is so no fun...

a very sad clio

my herb garden

i have grown a green thumb lately, really getting into the herbs, pulling out the evil weeds and doing something i have never ever done before!

this is a very short tour around my herb garden - if you can even call it that?!!
this is the first time i have kept green things alive longer then 4 weeks!
i might even be able to eat/use some of these babies in some of my cooking in the future.

first up is my mint bush/plant/tree - this little one is the one thriving the most in the garden, cant wait to make vietnamese spring rolls with these guys.

my lemon grass collection - we had to get more lemon grass because the dogs kept eating/demolishing these in the back yard.

this is my vietnamese mint or laksa leaf plant - it smells divine but i have no idea what to do with this! i bought this because the vendor said "mint" and i said why not? i can see some little buggers are having a meal out of my plant! i'll have to "sort them out" .

last but not least, is my little coriander plant and "little" it surely is. this plant is tiny and i have been taking extra care of it - trying to make it grow and bush up a bit.
But instead of growing bigger and bushier, my plant has decided to flower instead - ugh... its probably going to die now!

how did i get interested in gardening? (what ? no more designer hand bags?) well it all started from an old asian vendor at canning vale markets selling super cheap herbs, 3 pots for $5 - me and mr s thought we'd try to grow our own herbs.

Other recent purchases

We all know that i have a nasty shopping habit... it all started when i was ...ummm... let see... errrr.... it all started when i was very young lets just say...

sometimes i can control the urge to spend money, (thats coz the fashion of the day sucks and there is no way i am going for the bandeau belt, rara skirt or other trashy looks that have occurred recently) and sometimes i can't help whip out the good ol' cc whenever something catches my eye...

let me show you the damage i have done..

this is my super cute striped shirt dress from picnic harbour town $20.00 (bargain!!)
i have worn this baby out heaps

this is my 2nd hand cue grey cardigan from the vogue forums, it was $30 and i have been wearing it heaps during winter. (i love the button detail - each button is a different shape with cue stamped on each one!)

remember a couple posts back - i was drooling over smiggle stuff - lets just say i am very weak and pathetic - i went back to the store and bought more goodies, but this this its all for me!!!
smiggle fluoro pink rubber $1.95 and smiggle glitter pen set $9.95 - all of this stuff smellsss sooooo good... i love smggle...

this is my long cream cardigan from valley girl harbour town $14.95
bargain!

this is the most expensive thing i have bought these school holidays, its a men la coste (crocodile) polo from DJ's - i have been looking for this for agess... its a very nice yummy lilac colour and i get to wear on sports days to school. $69.95 from $110 (i'm sooo not paying full price!)

last but not least - is my black shirt dress from witchery $99.95
i bought this earlier in the year and i must admit i do use it a lot
i am totally loving dresses at the moment only because its a no brain way of dressing.
i dont have to think of matching top and bottom.

xxoo.clio

My new accessory purchase!!

hello people!!
come and see my new handbag reveal...
i know its a different type of handbag to the usual designer stuff i get but i found this bag very handy....
any guesses anyone?
shall we continue?

TADAAA!!! unbelievably i went to the hardware store and bought myself a drill/screwdriver set.
What the hell for you say?
Is Miss Clio going to do some DIY around the house?
Well yes and no...
I bought this because a few days earlier i went to Ikea and bought this (look below)
There was no way i was going to put this together by hand (last time i did this i came out with blisters galore) - so i did the practical thing and bought myself a lil tool kit.
Its brilliant - i absolutely love it- cant wait to do some more very little projects around the house. hehehe...

the malm chest of drawers with 6 drawers. $239 Ikea
I can fit in sooo much stuff in here its awesome!!

my favourite drawer :o) its got all the goodies...

little miss home improvement... and yes i am hanging out in my leavers top...

greasy goodness

yummy garlic bread - cant get enough of the true blue garlic spread on a good ol' french stick...

simon's lunch the other day - a greasy fry up! anyone for a bacon & egg sandwich with onions?

i opted out of the greasy fry up and finished off the pumpkin soup with garlic bread ( i told ya i can't get enough of that garlic bread spread...just comes in handy!)

Bella's Pregnant

my little baby girl Bella is PREGNANT!!!

we went to the vets today for an ultrasound just to make sure she had some buns in the oven and not just fat. She's about 31days into a 63 day pregnant period - so we will be expecting four legged bundles of joy later in the month. She has swollen nipples, bulging boobies and a big appetite. We saw only 2 bubs in the ultrasound, but we were told to expect more as bassets tend to have large litters (about 6 - 12). This pregnancy was planned, unlike our little accident last year.

Above is a picture of Bella in the bath tub earlier today, she likes warm bubble baths :o)

For the oyster lovers!!

I'm not really into oysters au naturale....
i like them steamed with black bean & chilli or kilpatrick

but there is this amazing seafood shop just across the road (leach highway) from our house. every weekend they have someone freshly shucking oysters and giving away 1 free oyster per person.

Free sample? I'm there baby!
And now I'm hooked, they also have these amazing yummy oyster sauces, pour some on top of your raw oyster and down the chute it goes.

The oysters are super duper fresh and the sauces are delicious - they have me and simon hooked big time. we have to have our oyster fix every weekend now.

clio

1/2 dozen is $7.50 or 1 dozen is $15.00, oyster sauce bottles $7.50

Term 3 School Holidays!!!!

Today is the 2nd day of my school holidays and feels bloody awesome!

Such a huge relief and i feel soooo relaxed!!

What do i have planned for the holidays? A lot actually - (unfortunately!! poo) only because everything that can't be done during school time is getting squished into the 2 weeks we have off.

So the list goes a little something like this....

1. Change 2 tyres on the Jazz car - $200. I dont know how it happened, about 2-3 weeks ago i noticed that one of my tyres was very flat and looking really BAD. Like slashed tyres bad, i guess someone at school hates? scarey huh?

2. Take Bella to the Vets for an ultrasound check! 3 weeks ago Bella was on heat and we had major dog porn going on in the backyard (this was a planned pregnancy - unlike last years incident). So hopefully, crossing fingers we might have puppies agaian - YAY!!!

3. Get our new blinds installed at home! Can't wait for this because the current verticals look like SH!T - well they are about 20 years old and never been replaced. So its about time.

4. Start a mini herb garden (and maybe some weeding). Its spring here and the weather is perfect for a herb garden. So far i have lemon grass (essential for asian cooking), vietnamese mint ( i dont know what to do with these yet) and normal mint.

5. Catch up on some serious reading. Just before the holidays i ordered 50 books from Bookclub for $50!! major bargain, they are mostly children's lit books, but i'm not complaining. i find that i am reading a lot of children's books at the moment.

6. Go to swan valley for some delicious food, wine and cheese ....mmmMMMmmm... cant wait.

7. Go to school and do some work and planning for next term (YUK!)

8. Catch up with all my friends that i always neglect during school time, you know who you are :o).

9. Catch up with some blogging... hehe ... i know i am lazy...

10. Catch up on some serious shopping ... harbour town here i come! and claremont, ikea, fremantle, applecross, mount lawley... shit this list is getting long!

last but not least.. the one i hate the most ... housework...urgh...

gotta goo.... housework calls...

love.clio

ps: can someone please send a servant from indo, philippines or cambodia to Perth please... i'll treat them really nicely :o).

Kikki K is coming to GARDEN CITY!!!

Every one and any one who knew me when i was little - knew what a little stationery whore i was. (this was before i became designer bag whore - the addiction had to start somewhere)

so... 30 years on and i have somewhat curbed my urge to buy every cute sanrio kerropi, hello kitty, pokopon, little twin star pen - penci - rubber - pencil case - notebooks - stickers etc etc.
it took a lot of time, counselling and therapy sessions, but i have some what been cured.

i am now a more mature stationery collector - my taste are a bit more refined and mature.
i am now addicted to kikki k stationery

so far my wallet and credit cards have been safe

but not for long....

Kikki k are coming to Garden City !!! Yayy!!!

what was once restricted to the eastern states .... and the internet...... is going to be open in October (yes october) in garden city.

Lord and therapists help me.... my credit cards are no longer safe... :oP

love
clio.

ps: enjoy the pics of kikki k stuff
or otherwise visit their website on http://www.kikki-k.com.au/catalog/index.html

its tax time!!

i know this is really sad, but the FIRST thing i did these school holidays was make an appointment to see my accountant.

Getting my taxes done and getting the refund cheque in the mail was TOP PRIORITY!
only coz i need the money to pay back debts, credit cards, mortgage and other very not exciting things.

My accountant is a brilliant, brilliant man and somehow managed to squeeze every cent out of the tax return :). which gave me great joy!

my refund looked healthy enough to afford me a chanel handbag AND a major accessory!!
you couldn't wipe the silly grin off my face ... :o)

oh - it was happy days for me! fantasizing about the bags i could possibly afford (but had no intentions of buying because i still have debts to pay off) i could have a big chunk of it saved for the trip to sydney late this year and maybe splurge on something something? i could also pay a HUGE chunk out of my mortgage and make it look more decent.

until ...several days later .... another group certificate showed up in my mail box! this group cert was BAD news. BAD BAD news.... so i rang up my accountant and told him the extra figures which had to be adjusted - ARGH!!!! somehow i had managed to earn enough money to start paying HECS and my refund money does not look as healthy as it once did.

So now my refund is not the amazing chanel bag & accessory combo i once dreamed of...

my refund will not afford me an amazing chanel bag anymore - an accessory yes - handbag no.

i knew it was all too good to be true - at least i have paid a nice chunk out of my HECS debt which is disgustingly over 20k.

luv.clio

ps: mr s got a nice refund too - which could of bought me a new balenciaga - but he said "when hell freezes over". i guess my bag ban still stands.

(have not bought a designer bag since Jul'07)

WOW its been a bloody long time!

oh my god...
its been a bloody loooong time since i last blogged...
did u guys miss me?
i missed you heaps!! :P

anyhooo .. even though i wasn't blogging very much.. i have been taking lots and lots of photos!
i have been taking lots and lots of photos of
1. dogs (no body else would pose for me)
2. food (when i quit teaching i wanna be a food pornographer - sorry i mean photographer)

even though im on school holidays - i feel totally stressed out.
its the horrible, sinking in the tummy feeling, something always on the back of your mind stressed.
teaching is one of those horrible jobs that follow you home, and you feel like you have never done "enough".
i know i have just had a 2 week break, but it felt like 4 days only.
so many things to do... so little time... sigh...

... while i have been on holidays, my brother has come to visit for a month!!
so in honor of his birthday - i decided to bake cupcakes and test my baking skills.

here are my little naked babies - i used the magnolia bakery vanilla cupcake recipe (just google the recipe!) these were soooo good fresh and warm out of the oven that we incurred 6 casualties in 15 minutes. and here are the little bubs after they have been dressed more appropriately.
enjoy!

skipping!!

i heard a little rumour that skipping was good for you
and so... being the lazy person that i am
have fully embraced skipping instead of trying to run 2-3kms a day (AS IF!!)

the stats say that skipping for 10 minutes straight burns about 100 calories
people should aim for about 1000 skips a day before any of the exercise has any effect.
500 skips in the morning and 500 at night or whenever you get it done.
And to give skipping more intensity - you can add weights to your hands or feet!

which is good enough reason for me to go straight onto ebay and buy me self a skipping rope with a counter (i am not counting to 1000!)

i have now been skipping for just over a week and so far so good.
i love skipping in front of the TV and in front of the dogs - but the dogs like to get in the way
i love doing exercise in the comfort of my own home without looking crappy in the general public.
2 birds 1 stone = satisfied.

so far my thighs and legs are feeling slightly sore - i think im burning fat down there!! anyways i will keep you all posted. its going to be easy for me to keep this up during school holidays, but when school comes back on, it will be a challenge!

luv.clio

skipping rope from oxfam $12.00.
hand painted handles, made in sri lanka this is like my digital skipping rope from ebay about $12.00 as well

other random skipping pics :o)

currently lusting after...

ok...

now i know WHY i am always in DEBT

and have zip/nada/ shit all/ non existing savings!!

because i keep finding beautiful materialistic things to stuff my consumeristic life

but oh my god....

when i saw this bag ...um ... 1/2 an hour ago ...

a bell went off in my head saying "ding ding ding"

i think i got to have this one... especially in purple, or was it black? white looks hot too...

never mind the colour... i gotta come up with the cash soon!!!

and hell will freeze over :oP

and so i am lusting after this bag from afar...

its around the $950 mark - so any secret admirer sugar daddies can reveal yourselves now and i will be eternally grateful....anyways i have some super hot dresses that will go with this bag or i can go find more super HOT dresses to go with this bag :oP.

mmm sweet vuitton loving....

now ...
the other thing i'm totally lusting after is a nikon d200...
i know this is a million worlds away from the usual designer stuff im always lusting after...
but there is something soooo exciting and hot about this camera!!
its probably because i have been playing around with angels camera that makes me want to get one soooo bad!!! and i would love to muck around with this camera ...maybe become a food stylist/photographer in the next life? (i dont know if i want to teach for ever :P)... sugar daddies PAY ATTENTION!!

luv+clio
