totally random

Today, hands down, i saw the LAZIEST person ever!!
A man was walking his jack russell terrier in a 4 wheel drive!
No leash, no handles - nothing! He was just shouting at the dog - telling him where to go and to keep going... i couldn't believe it... so much for pets keeping their owners healthy, conserving petrol and saving the planet.

I know walking your dog can be a major pain in the bum, especially when they are crazy hyper and don't listen to any of your commands. But seriously this takes the cake. Why have a pet dog when you can't be assed walking them?

The mind boggles.... anyways... here is a picture of what i saw today, but the dog is MUCH smaller and no leash...

And here is something i found which i thought was too cute and had to include.
My dogs do this to each other sometimes... but they don't like it when there is a dog on the handles, because they think a 'master' should be there... its a power thing...

little musings...

just a few things that have happened...

1. i PLAYED tennis yesterday!!! OMFG i know i can't believe it too!!..
it was totally impromptu, my buddy class teacher and another teacher planned to play tennis on the school courts (recently upgraded and refurbished). I said i would be interested in playing only if the yr 3 teacher agreed...and she DID !! so we played for an hour after school yesterday. It was so much fun!! i have never had any formal lessons before and the last time i picked up a tennis racket was when i was 10-11 yrs old. I was very shaky at first, tennis balls did go every where but not the right place, i can't serve properly, but hey ... you know what ? i can always learn.

I think we are going to make it a regular thing, which is pretty cool, looks like i'm getting more active!

2. LENT - last Wednesday was Ash Wednesday and i gave up 'mindless' shopping for Lent.
Definition of 'mindless' shopping: no make up, clothes, perfume, bags, or superfluous luxuries.
Instead i will try to donate to charity as much as possible... clothes, money, unused items around the house. Hope i stick to it... it's not going to be easy... need to stay away from EVIL shopping websites...

3. My bro and his wife are planning to move back to PERTH WA!! instead of buying a 1 way ticket to Perth, they are planning to make it an awesome road trip... so they are driving from Sydney, to Melbourne, Adelaide and a few other stops in between... how awesome?! i would be sooo up with that :D.

4. Got invited to a wedding!! :D ...because we have so few close friends... we rarely get invited to weddings in Australia. My husband has lots of friends but they all get married in Jakarta, which is hard for us to attend, unless they are VERY VERY close friends. Even then we rarely make the effort to go. Anyways the wedding is in Yallingup in Jan 2011, plenty of time to organise!! We'll just have to make a holiday out of it :D.

Valentines 2010

Valentine's day is tomorrow and i know we are not going to do anything to celebrate it.
I know i am not a very romantic person by nature, but below are a few things that i think would make Valentine's day very special.

This is my Valentines Day polyvore compilation, most of the stuff is red just for the sake of being Valentines Day and all, but there are a few things in there i would not mind receiving at all...

1. flowers - i love LOVE flowers and i very rarely receive them. red and pink tulips woould be just perfect!

2. ring- as you know the diamond fell out of my engagement ring and now i am a little 'bare' on the finger. i wouldn't mind a temporary el cheapo one until my real engagement ring is fixed. :D

3.macarons - after tasting my first macaron in HK, i am hooked!! been looking for a supplier in Perth but they are as rare as hen's teeth. Soo ... i have been salivating over macaron pics on the net from Laduree or Pierre Herme

4. tiffany bracelet - i dont know why, but i really like the silver ball bracelet from Tiffany's. i have come very close to buying it in the past, but then i talk myself out of it. Then any time i see someone wear something very similar to it, i keep staring at it - just a weird obsession - i know.

have an amazingly, beautiful and romantic valentines....xxoo.clio

new aquisitions :o)

When we were in HK all the girls/ladies/women were wearing boots. All kinds of boots, formal, casual, fringed, cowboy, uggs - all types. It eventually got to me and i HAD to buy a pair of boots. I was soooo obsessed, i was checking out every girl - to see what kind of style they had on, which styles i liked, disliked and eventually what would work for me.

After all the style sussing, i had to find the boots that would look hot on me and fall within budget. We went high end (aud $500 or so) to low end (aud $25-50) and i finally found these on sale. They were from "The Walker Shop" Grand Century Plaza, a shopping mall right next door to our hotel (how convenient!!). They were on special too! buy 1 get 1 free! The sound of a sweet sweet bargain to me. Sold! The store had lots of amazing boot styles which appealed to me but only a few styles which still had my size. [ i have big feet for an asian]. And that is why i ended up with the same style in 2 different colours. Honestly i am not complaining because these boots are gonna super sweet in winter and i can't wait to wear them to school. [low heel = comfort!]

my brown/gold boots

black / silver boots, both came to aud $200 :o)

The next item was completely impulsive, we were in Macau wandering around the fancy shopping malls when we came across a HUGE Marc Jacobs boutique. Went inside, saw the 40% off sale signs and decided it was worth a good look. Hubby saw this handbag on display and instantly fell in love with the colour and leather [and so did i!] had a quick look at the price, got our caculators out and figured it was a bargain. Darling hubby bought the bag for me as a gift and i walked out of the store like the cat that got the cream. :oD.

i love love love the colour and the smooshy soft leather, the detailing and all the hardware.
Sooo soooo cute, the only down fall is the bag is quite heavy so you have to be careful not to over stuff.

The next item is another impulsive purchase from ebay :oD.
I bought this in November for a fraction of the original price ...hehehe... i have always wanted a Mabillon back pack, but they have been discontinued and hard to find in the colours i want.
I really wanted the backpack in lilac or yellow[discontinued colours], but i will just have to settle with black. I really love using a backpack again, because it leaves my hands free, but this backpack is on the small side but it still fits all the basic essentials.

When we were in HK we went to the biggest LV store i've ever been. It was 4 stories high and had the most amazing collection of bags, shoes, scarves, luggage, jewellery, watches, clothes...just everything!!! The next most amazing thing about the store was how CRAZY BUSY it was ... the LV boutique on the first floor was FULL, like literally jammed packed, sardine style full - full of mainland chinese people that is. The crazy part is LV monogram bags were selling like peanuts, people were buying 2,3,4,5 -10 items and walking out the store with their arms full. It was fully bonkers, you had to wait in line to look at an item, you had to wait in line to pay for an item. The stuff wasn't even on sale. Anyways i did enjoy going to that store because i got to see many many bags and collections that aren't available in Perth - and i got to see the new vernis collection and colours. And that was when i fell in love with the bag below. i have been lusting after the sunset boulevard for a while now, but i could never pick out a colour before. The grey is sooo me and will be a classic for a long time ... this clutch is coming with me to Sydney for my cousin's wedding. loves it! :oD

getting back on track..

i have 2 days off to watch over my husband as he recovers from a knee reconstruction surgery. hopefully i will use these next 2 days wisely, meaning : catch up on work, catch up on housework and get this blog back on track. i realise this blog is like an outlet for me, to share, whine and celebrate. one of the things i have failed to do is share my recent purchases over the summer holidays... and i have scored some goodies!!

so hopefully between doting on my husband, i hope i get the chance to post some pics of recent-ish purchases.

for my cc is not sick without reason :P.

ps: not a big fan of facebook, and not a fan of people updating every single minute detail of their lives. URGH... ie..im going to singapore today, uploaded holiday pics to share, going to make so n so for dinner etc etc...

this week ...

... the diamond stone in my engagement ring fell out! it was at school and my heart sank, because i thought i would never ever find it. but we did find it, thanks to my amazing partner teacher. it is now safe and sound in my jewellery box till i get it fixed.

...i had a really sore tummy ache, the pain was soo bad i passed out and hit my head on the floor. now i have a gigantic lump on my forehead. charming.

...a VERY good friend of mine came over and left 8 bags of clothes and handbags. had a great time sorting through the stuff to keep and stuff to sell at canningvale. i have sooooo much stuff to sell, really need to do a huge clean out.. can't wait, the money would come in handy too.

...a stray cat followed us all the way home when heidy and i went for a walk. she stayed for some food and water, then we decided that heidy should take the cat home [ her pet cat passed away a couple of months ago] to be the new family pet. how ever her dad went ape shit and made heidy take the cat back to where we found it. lil kitty is now a homeless stray... i have way too many dogs and mr s is not a cat person.

2 days in...

2 days into the school year and i am already overwhelmed with the amount of work i have to do.
its not the teaching or the kids thats giving me the head ache, it's the admin and "other" stuff that teacher's do that's doing my head in. there is SOOO much "other" stuff to do it's almost a full time job in itself. i'm sooo tired and i have to last til december ... i dont know how i'm going to cope. i need to win lotto. i can't keep going like this. think i'll have a baby next year. :P
