Caves House Hotel, Yallingup

For Miss S's wedding we went south for a night to Yallingup.
It was a wonderful warm wedding, intimate and fun.

They picked Caves House Hotel for their reception, which is a stunning location and the food was awesome.
Every dish was delicious and very generously served.
The most memorable dish/es were the hors doeuvres served right at the beginning of the night.
They had the most tender marinated lamb cutlets served on the bone that just melts in your mouth.
Hubby and i happily munched on a couple of those.
mmmm what i would give to have some more of those lamb cutlets....

anyways ... here is the rest of the wedding.. in food.
i didnt really bother taking photos of the wedding and people ..[sorry! i got lazy and the lighting was bad]
so here it goes ...

my favourite dessert, strawberry pavlova and cream.
Absolutely devine, the cream and strawberries really balanced out the sweetness of the sweet meringue.

crispy skin fish with asparagus

roast lamb with eggplant - absolutely delicious! the lamb was perfectly cooked and very tender
[not smelly at all- i tend to find lamb to be rather smelly] they were very generous with the portions and gave each person 2 huge pieces, i could only manage 1 peice and felt really bad for leaving the other piece behind
[maybe i had too many cutlets earlier?]

our entree was a duck leg confit in a soy broth with veges. again, very nice but a bit salty

i totally recommend caves house hotel for their food
all the dishes were delicious and had large generous portions
everything was also super fresh and locally sourced, which you can taste in all their dishes
can't really go wrong here
