mee rebus....yum!!!!

as promised my blog is turning into a food shrine.. sorry people i cant help it?!!??! i am keeping my shopping habit to a minimum (or so i think) and so i indulge in my other favourite past time..eating!

one of my FAVOUUUURITE dishes from my FAVOUURITE hawker food place.

mee rebus, with extra green cut chillis (of course!) and more bawang goreng. even though i had this like last wk? (cant remember...) i am drooling looking at the picture. yum!!! this is from the usual Taurus hawker restaurant on collins road in willetton. definitely recommend it. but the place gets VERY VERY busy ..so be prepared to wait.

nervous butterflies....

last friday was my last day at hagemeyer (subiaco), and it was a very sad occasion.

i really am going to miss my boss neil and my fellow conspirator, i mean colleague sara.

oh my lord... did we have laughs and giggles in that office.

the crap i use to get up to before sara came along... and the other crap i got into AFTER sara came along.

everyone knows i have barely used my brains in the last 2 yrs or so.

so.... starting school tomorrow (EEEP!!!) is giving me major butterflies.

in less then 12 hrs im going to be in MY classroom with MY own kids (DOUBLE EEP!!)

and i will be teaching maths!!! (TRIPLE EEEP!!!)hang on i better double check my schedule for tomorrow.

knowing me... i will be SUPER tempted to write all my horror stories on my blog.

but for professonalism sake (holy shit i am a professional?) i am going to keep the

school stories to a minimum.

because i dont want to be found out by the schools, on what i do during my off time.

and i dont want to be caught ragging ppl's kids online.

not good for the novice teacher who's just starting her career eh?

however i will tell you all the juicy gossip straight from the horses mouth. ;oP.

anyhoo's this is the gorgeous bunch of flowers i got from neil and sara, as a parting gift.

so its time for me to move on again....and continue with the latest misadventures/ diasaster thats clios life.

food is the new blog...

i dont know if you noticed or not, there are a couple of new links to my blog. one is miss ming who finally stepped out on her own and made her own blog. yay!! good for you hun and its good to hear from you!! we all want to know what you have been up to!

the other 2 blog sites are food websites i (VERY) regularly haunt. hehehhe... yes people .... food is the new sex in my world. whats so special about these two sites? they are about street foods, you know the food you eat everyday, all within our budget and cooked authenticly (spelling?? i know im stuffed for my teaching job).

curry laksa and cupcakes

i have been having laksa cravings for a while now (mr s mum is here and so we eat LESS take away hehehhehe). So after my lil hip hop class in Curtin uni i popped over to Wong's Hawker food and ordered curry laksa for me ($6.50 CHEAP!!!) and 3 meat combo and rice for mr s ($6.90 REALLY CHEAP!!). I then quickly went home and put all my curry laksa goodies into a bowl and added extra sambal and bawang goreng. YUM!!! this was a really good laksa fix, definitely worth coming back for and im not complaing about the prices :oP. 9/10. before i tucked in (i know it doesnt look pretty)
after i tucked in, i couldnt finish it, portions were HUGE - very good value for money.
Dont you just love eating places near students/campuses? - always good value and bad for your heart.....btw....the karawara shopping centre has had a huge revamp, remember how dodgy it use to look? its still under construction but it looks classier now.

so this friday is my last day at hagemeyer, and as a tradition i always make cupcakes as a going away thing. These cupcakes are the magnolia bakery vanilla cupcake recipe, oh my god they are orgasmic (if i do say so myself?!!) Thanks miss J for the recipe, i love it! i love it! i love it!

i actually look forward to coming to work on mondays. but that place makes me fat (we have a HUGE tim tam stash).

we all love to spoil each other and as they say 'all good things come to an end'. sigh.....

food is the new sex.....

my obsession with food is starting to take its toll. i cant stop thinking about all the yummy food places i need to try (especially before the entertainment book vouchers expire!) drooooolss.... but oh my god, my thighs,tummy and butt are not liking me very much for it =(. i really need to eat more properly and keep my portions in control. oh i wish i still the had the healthy metabolism of 10-12 yr old. mmmm ..... eat unlimited amounts of all the food groups (sugar, msg, fat, salt, alcohol and carbonated drinks)

super fun and super yummy lunch with missy m and miss c! at point walter cafe, we ordered the tasting plate for 2 and an entree serve of mussells and crusty bread. we totally devoured the mussells before i realised i needed to take a foto of it. DOH! honestly thats my problem, im always TOO eager to eat the food, and completely forget to take fotos until its tool late.
i really had to "restrain" myself and remember to take fotos of the tasting plate otherwise it would have all gone in a "poof".

the top tier had a mix of pickled anti pasti italian veges. like green and black olives (yum) artichoke heart and other random veges i dont remember (hheheheh)

the second tier had a variety of deep fried sea food pieces, scallops, prawns, fish and calamari (super yummy)

third tier - mix of breads and butter

bottom tier - mix of salami, smoked salmon, some yummy beef thing? and some chicken thing too! it was all good and the lemon lime bitters went down a treat!

the tasting plate also came with a plate of different sauces, tomato, sweet chilli, homemade aoli and tartare sauce.

OMG i think im turning into a food blog! well well i guess i know i will be doing something i LOVE.

bell belle bella!

hi everyone! this is bella fresh off the plane from sydney. she was very shy at first and a bit sleepy, but she soon found her legs and started bouncing around like a regular puppy.

the complete renunion

for a very breif 3-4 hours our little primary/highschool group managed a big renunion! yay!! good to see everyone together. it was a small pot luck dinner party with lots of catching up. its been a loooong time since we had a renunion on this scale. luv.clio

recent aquisitions...

please welcome the newest addition to our EVER growing little family. as everyone knows me and mr s are absolutely NUTS about dogs, and this little lady is our next gorgeous family member. Shes flying in from Queensland/Sydney on 10th of april, and we cant wait till she gets here. We have named her belle/bella and the breeder told us "shes quite a character at 11 weeks old". its a red/white basset hound puppy. we have been talking a lot about getting another dog for quite a while, but more so after grigor died. we decided to get something completely different from the usual wolf/husky/malamute/ samoyed type of dog and basset hounds are something the both of us adore!! more pics when bella arrives!
