recent aquisitions...

please welcome the newest addition to our EVER growing little family. as everyone knows me and mr s are absolutely NUTS about dogs, and this little lady is our next gorgeous family member. Shes flying in from Queensland/Sydney on 10th of april, and we cant wait till she gets here. We have named her belle/bella and the breeder told us "shes quite a character at 11 weeks old". its a red/white basset hound puppy. we have been talking a lot about getting another dog for quite a while, but more so after grigor died. we decided to get something completely different from the usual wolf/husky/malamute/ samoyed type of dog and basset hounds are something the both of us adore!! more pics when bella arrives!

substance abuse

some people may or may not know, but i have a little substance abuse problem.

my little substance problem is a little different from the ben cousins story, but it does induce mind altering side effects, lethargy, paranoia, increase of appetite, the killing of brain cells and its highly addictive.

my substance abuse is : really bad super trashee jerry springer scraping bottom of the bin reality TV. imported directly from the good ol' U.S of A.

some prime examples of super trashee tv:
1. flavor of love from VH1 - this show takes the cake, oh my lord its so bad, you can literally feel yourself getting stupider by the trashy minute. but ... oh my god... watching a bunch of fruit loops and nut bags running around trying to win flavor flavs love is badly addictive.

2. my super sweet sixteen from MTV- watching extremely SPOILT rich bitches get a 16th birthday party of their dreams is extremely disturbing, but also addictive. its like bridezilla for a younger generation of women, who have WAAAAAY too much money & ZEROOOO class. i like to watch to see what they get up to, and take a peak at how the top 5% of super spoilt americans live. i have a really bad voyeur problem here.

3. girls of the playboy mansion from ??? - i guess im just like hugh hefner, i have a soft spot for blonde, super busty chicks???? or maybe its the non-intelligent mumblings that comes out of their mouths that really cracks me up, what ever it is ... its pure gold and exactly what i need when im winding down in front of the tv with a beer in hand. classic

victims of corporate re-shuffling.....

i have always worked in small offices, small companies ...... basically small WA based companies. this is the first time i have worked in an office thats part of a MUCH bigger picture, australia wide and world wide....

so yesterday there was a lil drama in the office, the national manager had flown over to wa (from sydney) to announce something rather urgent and important which could not be done by tele-conference. which meant by those under him that heads were going to roll...

well it wasnt that dramatic, but one of the most loved sales rep in our office was made redundant. which was really sad, coz we have had some super laughs with him around. this is a real shock to me, coz i have never witnessed a corporate re-shuffling before... ever.. and its so sad to see real good people being let go...

So good luck Mr R Blereau, i wish u all the best for the future and success in anything that you do.

ps: while richard was contemplating his career choices post sales rep - a beauty therapist crossed his mind - specialising in brazilians ... hahah lol..... and as one topic leads to another .. we started image googling "genital warts". oooo thats a nasty one.... be warned .. do that in the comfort of your own home, dont do it in the office. u have been warned.

first teacher job interview

i had my first teacher job interview today and geee-zus it was scary!!! i had a panel of 4 people interviewing ME (3 principals!! and 1 yr 6 teacher)!!! luckily i did all my research, i did the best i could do... and there is nothing more i could have done. im not overly confident if i will get the job or not- but meh.....it was my first interview and i can use the experience and learn from it. funny tho... i ask a fellow teacher su- lyn about some interview tips - she said it should be a breeze, there is nothing they can ask you that will be really hard... hahaha ...lol yeh right... ill find out tomorrow if i get the job or not... or the latest .. by the end of the week.

i dont mind getting into teaching again...what im afraid of the most is doing real work... i havent done REAL work in a LOOOOOONNG time....you know where my opinion actualy counts and i am ACCOUNTABLE for everything i do....OMG its scarey....and taking work home.... and doing work on the weekend... and losing any sign of a normal life...oh well...u got to grow up one day huh?
