Another assignment

i have another RE assignment to do, and this time i'm actually doing it straight away!!!
OMG!!! i know, is this really ME? the procratinator? well i suffered heaps and heaps doing the last assignment and i have definitely learnt by lessons.

DO THOSE DAMN THINGS WHILE ITS STILL FREAKING FRESH IN YOUR MIND.

right now im just writing everything down to do with the assignment. i dont really care if its all gobble -dee-gook right now, im just putting it all down while its rolling around the noggin relatively fresh.

ill prolly come back to it a little later and read some of the prescribed texts so i can do referencing and stuff. i think it sounds like a plan. i even used my recess time to go to the catholic library to get more books out - insane!? is this really ME?!

well if i dont get these RE assignments done, i have ALOT of explaining to do to my principal and my contract states i have to do them, and there is a time frame i have to do them by.... scary....

i think ill do this everytime i have an RE assignment to do, day 1, start the assignment and put as much crap down as possible. day 2 same thing, add referencing and other crap a bit later [but not too much later] where you forget stuff.

anyways as a reward im looking for a nappy/diaper bag.... so confused... i [for once in my life] dont know which handbag to get?! im sooo out of my depth here? i just know i need a big one to fit in all my crap and lots of compartments must be good for the nappies, bottles and random junk, but im not really liking whats out there in the nappy/diaper bag world. they all look blah!

hrmmm... shall continue looking .... hopefully ill see something i like :D

money management

now we all know i have a lil shopping habit

which i think is under control
but sometimes gets out of hand

because of the impending addition to our little family
budgets are VERY TIGHT and i am taking another mature step into adulthood

i am leaving my credit cards at home

they will not live in my wallet anymore and i will now live on cash and my regular savings atm card

it feels scary but very liberating at the same time
only because i know its something i really need to do

plans undone

our big holiday plans to go to shanghai and kl have gone up in smoke

too much going on at home and my little baby girl Bella is going to have puppies next week while we were supposedly on holidays.

we couldnt do that to our poor little doggy, so we cancelled our trip and postponed it all to january.

i guess its not a complete waste. but its such a let down, when you have been excited and building it up. oh wells, ill just look forward to january.

on another note, air asia is on special to japan!!!!!

ARGHHHHHHHHHHHH i soooo wanna go... but we really shouldnt over do the holiday thing like we did this year. sigh. i just cant make up my mind.

we're suppose to focus on the whole baby thing, but these holidays are a MAJOR distraction, its too exciting to not think about.

fark.. japan... havent been there for ages and would love love love to go back again.

what i did this weekend...

- chopped down half the trees in the back yard for our green waste collection.
- bought a new filing cabinet & accessories :D
- redid my whole filing system [took me forever!!]
- went to betchly park to check out display homes... sooo confused!
- very determined to knock down winthrop house and build my DREAM home... sigh...
- nice long walk to piney lakes with the dogs. always heaps of fun

- bills bills bills to pay...yuck
- marking spelling test and other stuff - last minute... as usual .. :D

What i have learnt today ...

-do not drink strong tea late at night....because you wont be able to sleep until 4 or 5 am.

-do not eat late night suppers - really screws your digestion.

little musings...

just a few things that have happened...

1. i PLAYED tennis yesterday!!! OMFG i know i can't believe it too!!..
it was totally impromptu, my buddy class teacher and another teacher planned to play tennis on the school courts (recently upgraded and refurbished). I said i would be interested in playing only if the yr 3 teacher agreed...and she DID !! so we played for an hour after school yesterday. It was so much fun!! i have never had any formal lessons before and the last time i picked up a tennis racket was when i was 10-11 yrs old. I was very shaky at first, tennis balls did go every where but not the right place, i can't serve properly, but hey ... you know what ? i can always learn.

I think we are going to make it a regular thing, which is pretty cool, looks like i'm getting more active!

2. LENT - last Wednesday was Ash Wednesday and i gave up 'mindless' shopping for Lent.
Definition of 'mindless' shopping: no make up, clothes, perfume, bags, or superfluous luxuries.
Instead i will try to donate to charity as much as possible... clothes, money, unused items around the house. Hope i stick to it... it's not going to be easy... need to stay away from EVIL shopping websites...

3. My bro and his wife are planning to move back to PERTH WA!! instead of buying a 1 way ticket to Perth, they are planning to make it an awesome road trip... so they are driving from Sydney, to Melbourne, Adelaide and a few other stops in between... how awesome?! i would be sooo up with that :D.

4. Got invited to a wedding!! :D ...because we have so few close friends... we rarely get invited to weddings in Australia. My husband has lots of friends but they all get married in Jakarta, which is hard for us to attend, unless they are VERY VERY close friends. Even then we rarely make the effort to go. Anyways the wedding is in Yallingup in Jan 2011, plenty of time to organise!! We'll just have to make a holiday out of it :D.

this week ...

... the diamond stone in my engagement ring fell out! it was at school and my heart sank, because i thought i would never ever find it. but we did find it, thanks to my amazing partner teacher. it is now safe and sound in my jewellery box till i get it fixed.

...i had a really sore tummy ache, the pain was soo bad i passed out and hit my head on the floor. now i have a gigantic lump on my forehead. charming.

...a VERY good friend of mine came over and left 8 bags of clothes and handbags. had a great time sorting through the stuff to keep and stuff to sell at canningvale. i have sooooo much stuff to sell, really need to do a huge clean out.. can't wait, the money would come in handy too.

...a stray cat followed us all the way home when heidy and i went for a walk. she stayed for some food and water, then we decided that heidy should take the cat home [ her pet cat passed away a couple of months ago] to be the new family pet. how ever her dad went ape shit and made heidy take the cat back to where we found it. lil kitty is now a homeless stray... i have way too many dogs and mr s is not a cat person.

i hate ironing

out of allll the house hold chores around the house, ironing has to be the worse.

i hate ironing with a passion. i am also very SHIT at it, i cant seem to get rid of all the creases in the clothes. i hate figuring out where the "creases" of shirts, jeans, pants, short etc... blergh.. its too much for me. i prefer folding and letting gravity and weight take its toll. making clothes 'straight' by natural coincidence. i'm also better at folding clothes :o).

i never ever iron my clothes, unless i really REALLY have to - so its on a "as needs basis"

chores i'd rather do:

• weeding - im happy to weed for hours on end, there's a satisfactory feeling about getting rid of those nasty buggers from your garden.
  
• mowing the lawn - you see the fruits of your labour straight away - awesome. also makes the garden look "cleaner"
• washing dishes - something therapeutic about it- dunno (but i still want a dishwasher!!!)
• cooking - i'd rather cook to a man's heart then iron there..
  
• filing & bills & errands. i swear to god ironing is way worse then filing
• vacuuming - just not the sofa :P
• washing the dog & dog house - i like it when my dogs smell nice, but it doesnt last long - flithy buggers.
  

apart from ironing, there's other chores i hate doing

• poop patrol - those that have dogs, know what this is
• taking out the rubbish - i dunno, something about it is just yucky, oh... and tying up the rubbish bin - it just stinks! ewwwwwwwwww!!
• ironing!!
  
• washing the car - takes me forever!!! only because i want to make sure everything damn doggy hair is gone. doesnt help that my car is the doggy car (SIGHS...)
  

enough whinging.. back to house work...

i went to tear a leaf off my mint plant to check the smells and stuff.. as you do...

little did i know ... while tearing my mint leaf ... i also squished a caterpillar in half!!! EEEEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW GROSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!
with my bare fingers!!!!! YYUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCKKKK!!!

now you say... how come i didn't see the stupid thing? and avoid the yucky muck? well the stupid caterpillar was underneath the plant and i couldnt see it at all!!

sigh.. im just not having any luck with creepy crawlies...

dear diary....

now that i have a bit more time.. i find myself blogging a bit more then usual.. and now that i have my sexy new lap top .. i find any excuse to work on it.. heheh...

well today is another extreeeeemely hot day in the perth summer - max of 38 degrees! yuck yuck yuck... the poor doggies came inside the house for a bit of air conditioning relief. they are spoilt little buggers.

i went to school earlier this morning. i'm still cleaning up and organising my 'new' classroom. it's taking me forever and it's so dusty and disorganised right now - all i want to do is just turn away from it. but there is just so much to do!! argh... i dont even want to bring my mum around to help me clean up, it just wouldn't be fair. i'm not even moving a house, but i can just imagine how much i would hate doing it. i really can't believe how much crap i have, not only that i have also 'inherited' all the year 7 books and stuff. not only do we have year 6 stuff to organise but somehow manage to fit in all the yr 7 reading, math and text books. i dont even know if i make sense or not. im just whiney and whingy at the moment.

i still have the classroom store room to organise - SIGH...

did i also mention that a stupid cockroach crawled across my feet today!! in the classroom - urgh! it's so gross! i killed 3 cockroaches today, 1 outside my room and 2 inside - ewww...
my buddy teacher says that you should never step on a cockroach directly with the shoe/footwear you are wearing because the cockroach guts will get stuck to the sole of your shoe and turn into maggots. then the maggots will spread to where ever your shoe has been.
i've never heard of this before, but i do hate maggots and they totally gross me out...
has anyone heard of this before? is it true?

anyways... i'm going to do some work now :) cleaning, filing and general errands... the holidays are never that relaxing...
