graduation cupcake

2 weeks ago the yr 6 had a graduation party, this cupcake was part of their souvenirs. it was part of their chinese oriental theme, it feels weird knowing u arent going to be part of the whole graduation thing again- guess i was a part of it for so long, i just got use to it

baking up a storm...

i'm on school easter holidays and i've caught the baking bug.
i did a fondant class earlier this year and i've been itching to make some pretty cupcakes.

i made these the other day. they are for miss c's upcoming baby shower
she loved them - but i'm still iffy on the design

and below is a basic chocolate cupcake with buttercream frosting

i hope they will work out, its been a year since i last did them

cup cake shopping in balmain sydney

these photos were taken a very long time ago,
it was our last day in sydney and we went to balmain to check out the adriano zumbo cafe and patisserie.
but we found many other delights.
we could not resist the cupcake shop,
the detail and range they had was amazing.
i had to take photos :)

tiramisu cupcakes

a very good friend of mine is coming over tomorrow and i had nothing to feed/entertain her.
so we made a batch of coffee & tiramisu cupcakes to go with mascarpone cheese topping.
the cupcakes were to die for when they came out of the oven and our lemon detox diet went out the window again... hehe....

they are too naughty to have in the house so hubby is taking them to work to "share" with his colleagues. luckily he works with LOTS of people
